Coderblock World

What can I do in Coderblock World?

Coderblock World is the collection of Coderblock's 3D virtual worlds where you can easily and intuitively create and explore virtual environments without using VR headsets or installing anything on your PC.

You can experience Coderblock World as a user, creating your digital alter ego, exploring virtual environments and participating in events with users from around the world. Alternatively, you can experience it as a Creator or Landowner, independently building virtual scenes that you can then sell or use to host any type of event for other users to join.

Is it possible to access Coderblock's Open World?

Of course, Coderblock's Open World is simply the shared virtual universe that you can visit firsthand through your avatar. Within the Open World, you can visit lands where landowners have already built their own experiences, as well as the main cities of the Coderblock universe, built by the Coderblock team itself.

Visit the Open World from here or follow this guide if you are having trouble accessing the platform.

What is the difference between the Open World and Spaces?

The Open World is Coderblock's main virtual world, an open map that can be explored and consists of an interconnected network of Lands.

Spaces are also virtual worlds, but in this case they refer to 'individual virtual scenes', which are separate 3D microcosms that are not connected to each other. See this article for all the details and differences.

What is Ready Player Me and why is Coderblock integrating its technology?

Ready Player Me (or RPM) is becoming the standard for integrating and customizing avatars in virtual worlds.

Its main feature is that it allows users to upload their own selfie photo to create a highly realistic looking avatar. In addition, RPM supports extensive customization options and promotes interoperability across metaverses: create an RPM avatar on Coderblock and you can use it in any other virtual world that integrates RPM technology!

Coderblock has therefore decided to integrate RPM technology to offer a more inclusive and realistic user experience.

How do I customize my avatar?

Coderblock has integrated Ready Player Me technology to create and customize your digital alter ego. RPM allows for realistic appearance, infinite customizations and interoperability, meaning that the avatar you create can be used across different metaverse platforms.

You can find detailed instructions on how to create your avatar and customize it with your favorite outfit (there are also some Coderblock-branded ones) HERE: unleash your creativity!

What movements can my avatar make in a virtual world?

Every avatar has a set of pre-defined animations: they can walk, run, jump, wave, dance, swim and more! These movements help them navigate the virtual world as realistically and interactively as possible.

For details of all the movements your avatar can perform in a virtual world and the keys to control them, click HERE.

Can I interact with other users or objects?

The avatar that represents you in Coderblock's virtual worlds can interact with NPCs (the 'inhabitants' of the world), with avatars representing other users, and with many of the objects in the virtual environment.

You can interact with other users through a shared general chat, a private chat, a single audio call, and a shared video/audio call with all other users sitting at the same table. You can find out more about the interactions your avatar can perform HERE.

What are Oasis and Hexagon City?

Oasis and Hexagon City are two very important cities in the Coderblock universe, built by the Coderblock team itself. You can reach them by entering the Open World and exploring it.

Oasis is the entry point to the Open World: once you access, you will find yourself in the middle of it. It has already hosted many events and initiatives and will always be a reference point for users.

Hexagon City, on the other hand, is the capital and sits right at the centre of the Open World map.

Both will also play a fundamental role in the first official Coderblock video game currently in development.

How should you behave in a virtual experience? Are there any guidelines?

Absolutely, in order to ensure that the user experience is as pleasant and safe as possible, it is necessary that all participants in the Coderblock ecosystem adhere to some simple policies and guidelines, whether they are creators, users or the Coderblock team itself.

Everything you need to know about Coderblock's policies and behavioural guidelines can be found HERE.

What should I do if I encounter abuse or inappropriate behavior from another user?

If you are experiencing inappropriate behavior from another user, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can intervene quickly. The quickest way to contact our team is to open a #support ticket on our Discord server, but you can also fill out this form or send an email to support@coderblock.com.
